If the car shock absorber leaks oil, it is undoubtedly a very dangerous thing for the shock absorber. Then, once the oil leak is found, timely remedial measures must be made. The key inspection items are the oil seal gasket, sealing gasket cracked damage, oil storage cylinder head, check whether these parts have loose nuts.
If oil leakage is found, first tighten the cylinder head nut, if the shock absorber still leaks oil, it may be that the oil seal and sealing gasket are damaged and fail, and the new seal should be replaced. If the oil leakage still cannot be eliminated, the shock absorber rod should be pulled, and if you feel that there is a hairpin or the weight is different, then further check whether the gap between the piston and the cylinder barrel is too large, whether the shock absorber piston connecting rod is bent, and whether the surface of the piston connecting rod and the cylinder barrel have scratches or pull marks.
If the shock absorber does not leak oil, check whether the shock absorber connection pin, connecting rod, connection hole, rubber bushing, etc. are damaged, desoldered, cracked or falling off. If the above inspection is normal, the shock absorber should be further disassembled, check whether the matching gap between the piston and the cylinder barrel is too large, whether the cylinder barrel is strained, whether the valve seal is good, whether the valve disc and the valve seat fit tightly, and whether the extension spring of the shock absorber is too soft or broken, and repair it by grinding or replacing parts according to the situation.
In addition, the shock absorber will make a sound failure in actual use, which is mainly caused by the collision between the shock absorber and the leaf spring, frame or shaft, the rubber pad is damaged or falling off, and the shock absorber dust cylinder deformation, insufficient oil and other reasons, the cause should be found out and repaired.
The shock absorber should be tested on a special test bench after inspection and repair, and when the resistance frequency is 100±1mm, the resistance of its extension stroke and compression stroke should comply with the regulations. The maximum resistance is 392~588N; The maximum resistance of Dongfeng car extension stroke is 2450~3038N, and the maximum resistance of compression stroke is 490~686N. If there are no test conditions, we can also adopt an empirical practice, that is, use an iron rod to penetrate the lower end of the shock absorber into the lifting ring, step on its two ends with both feet, hold the upper lifting ring with both hands and pull back and forth 2~4 times, when pulling up, the resistance is very large, and the downward pressure does not feel laborious, and the resistance of the stretch is recovered compared with before repair, and there is no sense of space, which indicates that the shock absorber is basically normal.
